RyFlor™ Expanded PTFE Gasket

RyFlor™ ePTFE is the sheet material for gaskets offered by Hi-Tech Seals, designed for applications involving harsh chemicals, high pressures, and high temperatures. It is made from 100% virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that has been expanded to transform this typically rigid polymer into a soft, flexible, and highly compressible sheet.

This material is characterized by a microporous network of interconnected fibers with an isotropic structure, which gives it the same mechanical strength in all directions within the plane. It retains the essential properties of PTFE, such as chemical inertness and thermal stability, making it resistant to degradation in the presence of aggressive chemicals and at high temperatures, while reducing creep and cold creep compared to conventional PTFE sheets.

RyFlor™ can withstand assembly loads of up to 40,000 psi without compromising its sealing performance. This material also complies with FDA standards for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

RyFlor™ is available as standard and custom-cut gaskets, material strips, and sealant.
