Plastic Balls

Plastic balls are well suited for light-load bearing and flow control applications, providing low-friction performance along with excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasion. These components are widely used in flow control systems, as well as pharmaceutical, food processing, and chemical processing equipment.

They are also used in oil well completions to isolate sections of a well during hydraulic fracturing. Commonly referred to as frac balls, these components are engineered for high strength and superior resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and harsh downhole environments.

Common plastic ball materials include but are not limited to Torlon® (PAI), Ertalyte™ (PETP), Nylon (PA), PTFE, UL (ULTEM™), Phenolic, and BoKure™ GHOST.

Rubber Balls

Rubber balls are widely used as sealing components in pumps and valves, as well as cleaning elements in vibrating sifters where they help keep screens clear, and in many other industrial applications. They are suitable for oil and gas applications involving contact with hydraulic fluids, gasoline, water, silicone oil, and other media.

These components offer high-temperature capability along with excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, chemicals, and abrasion.

Common rubber ball materials include, but are not limited to, nitrile, fluorocarbon (Viton™), and silicone.
